Hello! I’m Lisa

Illustrator and artist

Hi, thanks for stopping by! I am a very creative person who loves to draw, paint, stitch, and print. I work freelance from my studio at home in Glasgow, Scotland.

Inspired by nature I keep a daily sketchbook to help record my ideas that regularly pop into my head. I love the magic of surface pattern and beautiful colour palettes – to see a repeat pattern on fabric that I created and started from an initial line drawing is just a wonderful feeling.

As well as surface pattern design I love to create illustrations. Cute animal characters are always fun and can be developed for a variety of products. I am currently exploring the world of digital planning and discovered that my cute animals make popular digital stickers.

Another interest I have is hand embroidery, I love the texture and feeling of creating something by hand. The idea of drawing with stitches is something that is very therapeutic and delivers effective results. Recently I published my first online Skillshare class on Hand Embroidery and it was so much fun. I am currently working on some more classes with a focus on drawing. When I am not teaching online I love to deliver workshops around Scotland on hand embroidery. The creative community really is a wonderful place! Check out my blog or join my mailing list to hear about future classes both on and offline.
