Hello! I’m Lisa

Artist and surface pattern designer

Hi, thanks for stopping by! I am a very creative person who loves to draw, paint, stitch, and print. I work freelance from my studio at home in Glasgow, Scotland.

Inspired by nature I keep a daily sketchbook to help record my ideas that regularly pop into my head. I love the magic of surface pattern and beautiful colour palettes – to see a repeat pattern on fabric that I created, which started from an initial line drawing is just a wonderful feeling. I have had the pleasure of having my artwork licensed by companies such as Dashwood Studio, based in the UK and Hawthorne Supply Co and Paint Brush Studio Fabrics overseas in USA. It is a dream come true to do what I love!

As well as surface pattern design I love to create illustrations. Cute animal characters are always fun and can be developed for a variety of products. I currently license my artwork to companies across Europe for posters, puzzles and wallpaper.

Another interest I have is hand embroidery, I love the texture and feeling of creating something by hand. Recently I published my first online Skillshare class on Hand Embroidery and it was so much fun. I am currently working on some more classes with a focus on drawing. When I am not teaching online I love to deliver workshops around Scotland. The creative community really is a wonderful place! Check out my blog or join my mailing list to hear about future classes both on and offline.
